360 Round the Rock
Not a single sight but the whole lap: up the western side to the summit, down the east through Catalan Bay, round Europa Point and back into town along the dockyard.
Most tours of Gibraltar go up and come back down the same way. The full circuit adds the eastern side — Catalan Bay's fishing village, Sandy Bay, the water catchments on the cliff face — and finishes in the town rather than at the frontier.
It is the version I recommend to anyone staying overnight, because it shows you a Gibraltar that has nothing to do with the Upper Rock: beaches, a Genoese village, and a working harbour.
Our tip
Build in lunch at Catalan Bay. It is the single best hour of the circuit and it costs nothing to schedule.
